About

How This Piano Player Fell in Love with the Harp

I began piano lessons in 3rd grade. I was lucky enough in High School to play and place in a piano competition. The winning prize took me to the Chautauqua, NY. Summer Institute for 2 weeks of piano lessons. After practicing my piano, I took a walk to explore the beautiful campus.

As I passed by one cabin, I heard plinks, plunks, twinkles, and zooms. I just had to peek inside and that is where I met the harp.

The harpist invited me inside and showed me a few things. Although the harp is one of the most difficult instruments to play, she was sure with my piano background that it would be easy for me.

I was mesmerized and was sure it was the most beautiful sound I had ever heard in my life.

The harp has taken me places I never expected. I’ve been able to play for the most wonderful couples, important events, and a few famous people along the way.

Very Professional
Miriam was great. The music was beautiful and she was wonderful. She spent a lot time with me playing music and making sure we picked out exactly what I wanted for the ceremony. I would highly recommend Miriam if you’re looking for a harpist! She was dedicated to my happiness and was very professional.

Her music was absolutely breathtaking!

A Masterful Performance!
We engaged Miriam and Valorie to play a harp & flute duet for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and could not have been happier that we did. Miriam was wonderful in the planning process, engaging us to discover our tastes and ultimately helping us to plan a wonderful playlist that suited our style. Their performance was a work of art, having played beautifully despite the outdoor ceremony in high heat. Our videographer told us after that he was so captivated and amazed by their rendition of one particular song during the cocktail hour that he forgot to pick up his camera! Having these talented artists play on our wedding day was one of our best decisions, and we could not recommend them highly enough for any event.
